Change has to start somewhere...

Whether it's a volunteer organization, a religious group, or even our physical neighborhoods, we are all part of a larger community in some way or another. In a time where, for many, it may seem increasingly difficult to feel like part of our country as a whole, it becomes that much more important to lean into these smaller communities.

The project below, an element of the Bailey Fights Blight initiative, was a collaborative effort between local artists, members of the community, and the neighborhood Tool Library working to enhance two blighted buildings along Buffalo's Bailey Avenue Corridor. This is just one example among a host of others involving a small group of people coming together to make a difference. It's projects like this that remind us of what it means to be human and show us what we're capable of when we work together.
